Midtown/South/West District Community Policing Team
The mission of our Community Policing Team (CPT) is to serve as a resource that effectively collaborate(s) with community stakeholders, external partners and units within our department in an effort to problem solve and address issues unique to these three police districts. Responsiveness to community needs and ensuring the department's accessibility to all members of the community are pivotal in fulfilling this mission. The CPT is responsive to the priorities of the districts and department based on current trends and activity.
The Midtown/South/West District CPT is made up of one sergeant and five officers and they are housed out of the Midtown District Station.

Kathryn Wahl
My name is Officer Kathryn Wahl. I am a member of the Channel 3 Community Policing Team which encompasses the West, Midtown and South districts in Madison. I've been an officer for 21 years and have worked a variety of assignments before Channel 3 CPT. I enjoy being a CPT member and especially enjoy when we collaborate with community members to solve a problem or help with a neighborhood event! When I'm off duty, I spend lots of time outside and enjoy nature.
Sebastian So
My name is Officer Sebastian So, and I am one of the new members of the West/Midtown/South Community Policing Team. I have been with the Madison Police Department since 2020, and am also involved in other components of MPD such as the Special Events Team, Field Extrication Team, Dignitary Protection Team, and many others. I strongly believe in community-oriented policing and working with community members in order to best serve the public. I look forward to working hard and making Madison a safer place.
