On Friday, 5/14/21, Officers conducted an enhanced enforcement effort on E Washington Ave addressing impared and hazardous driving. From 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m. officers conducted a total of 17 stops to include violations for:
- Speeding (highest speed stopped was for 68 MPH in a 35 MPH zone)
- Racing
- Red signal (light) violations
- Failure to Yield
- Vehicle Equipment violations; and
- "Light Motor Vehicle Noise" - reving engines or squealing tires
These additional enforcement efforts are made possible through traffic overtime grants provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
