Traffic & Specialized Services Lieutenant

The Traffic & Specialized Services Lieutenant is responsible for the supervision of the Madison Police Department's Traffic Unit, comprised of the Traffic Enforcement Safety Team (TEST) and Traffic Specialists, as well as MPD's Traffic & Special Events Officer. The Lieutenant works in partnership with the Dane County Sheriff's Office in the management and coordination of various traffic safety grants awarded by the WI Department of Transportation.

The Traffic & Specialized Services Lieutenant is also responsible for the coordination of Madison Police resources for major events within the City of Madison. The Lieutenant works with various city agencies and our law enforcement partners to help ensure the safety of special events held in our community.

The Traffic & Specialized Services Lieutenant is MPD's representative to the Traffic Commission and to the Street Use Staff Commission.
