Today officers conducted an enhanced enforcement operation on Packers Ave near Commercial Ave. Officers were focussing on speeding and seatbelt violations.
During the enforcement activity officers stopped a total of 28 vehicles for speeding. All vehicles stopped were traveling at least 50 MPH in the 35 MPH zone, with the highest speed recorded being 62 MPH.
Please slow down and bluckle up, even a 10 MPH reduction in speed results in huge improvements in driver, pedestrian and bicyclists safety.
These additional enforcement efforts are made possible through traffic overtime grants provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
