The Madison PD will be conducting an enhanced traffic enforcement project this holiday weekend focussing on OWI and other hazardous driving behaviors. We will have additional resources on both E Washington Ave and University Ave over the weekend.
According to WI DOT, in 2019 there were over 3,000 injuries or fatalities in Wisconsin due to drunk driving.
Please slow down, buckle-up, and drive sober.
These additional enforcement efforts are made possible through traffic overtime grants provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation
