On Tuesday, 8/10/2021, Officers from the Madison Police Department conducted an enhanced traffic enforcement project on Hwy 30 near Stoughton Rd.
During the project Officers stopped a total of 21 vehicles for speeding. The average speed of stopped motorists was 74 MPH (19 MPH over the posted 55 MPH limit). Top speeds stopped were for 84 MPH, 81 and 79.

These additional enforcement efforts are made possible through traffic overtime grants provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and conducted in partnership with the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
