postedListening Session: Elver Park - Wednesday, June 28, 2023: Madison Parks is proposing a number of improvements to Elver Park in the coming years. These improvements represent relatively minor projects that will take place before a larger master planning process begins in 2024. The master plan process will address larger changes to the park and provide opportunities to provide feedback and comments for Elver Park's long-term uses, vision, and layout.

Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, June 26, 2023, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include the approval of funds for Tax Incremental Finance Loans, authorizing the Mayor and the Chief of Police to accept a Justice Assistance Grant Record Management System Improvement grant award for victim notification software, and more!
- Sustainable Madison: The Sustainable Madison Committee meeting will take place on Monday, June 26, 2023, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include reviewing a draft memo to the Common Council on the Farmland Preservation Task Force Report, reviewing a draft memo on encouraging youth participation in City Boards, Committees, and Commissions, as well as an update on the Sustainability Plan, and more!

- Monday Mornings at The Glen - Monday, June 26, 2023: Explore the beauty of The Glen Golf Park every Monday morning this summer, from sunrise until 8:00 AM. Enjoy a stroll, get in your morning workout, walk your leashed dog, or just take in The Glen scenery. Visitors will likely see golf equipment running, but our team is pleased to welcome you, and no tee times are scheduled. Please keep out of prairie areas.
- Parks Alive: Allied Park - Monday, June 26, 2023: Join us from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for a screening of Wakanda Forever. Parks Alive builds stronger neighborhoods and connects neighbors to their parks through fun, family-friendly activities, music, and free food. Events are held in parks across the city and throughout the summer. Connect with your neighbors and engage with your community at a Parks Alive event near you!
- NewBridge Summer Concert Series - Monday, June 26, 2023: The Summer Concert Series was started by one of the four senior coalitions that merged to become NewBridge Madison. In 1993, the North/Eastside Senior Coalition (NESCO) initiated the Summer Concert Series at Warner Park in order to bring people together and provide older adults in the area with free, high-quality summer entertainment. The trial run was a success.
- Lakeside Kids: Danztrad, Traditional Mexican Dance - Tuesday, June 27, 2023: DanzTrad "Traditional Mexican Dance" is a Madison dance group created with the idea of a workshop for everybody interested in the Mexican folkloric dance. DanzTrad intends to present, represent and promote Mexican culture and art through dance to younger generations. The dances represent some of the traditions in Mexico from Aztecs before the Spanish conquistadors to Jalisco from the revolution time.
- Dane County Farmers' Market - Wednesday, June 28, 2023: The Wednesday Dane County Farmers' Market is located on the 200 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, between the Madison Municipal Building and the City-County Building. While more intimate than the Saturday Market, you will still find many of your favorite Dane County Farmers' Market members, as well as a full array of fruits and vegetables, eggs, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, bakery items, cut flowers, plants, and many specialty items.

- Barre3 at The Glen - Wednesday, June 28, 2023: Join Madison's barre3 and Madison Parks Foundation on fairway #1 at The Glen Golf Park for a heart-pumping, joy-filled workout.
- Capitol City Band Concerts in the Park - Thursday, June 29, 2023: Old-fashioned band concerts in the park, "as American as apple pie." Familiar toe-tapping tunes, songs, polkas, broadway tunes, and the marches of John Philip SoUSA. Music for all ages and all cultures. Relax, enjoy the music. Bring a friend. Bring a chair for listening comfort.
- Live at The Glen: DJ Pain 1 Hip Hop Dance Party - Friday, June 30, 2023: It's a dance party at The Glen! Staring around 7:00 PM, come move to the music of beat-master DJ Pain 1, a Madison-born Multi-Platinum producer and world-touring DJ. DJ Pain 1 has produced for artists such as 50 Cent, Schoolboy Q, Ludacris, Lil Baby, Public Enemy, and Nipsey Hussle and has been featured at numerous Dane Dance events. DJ Pain 1 will share his artistic talent to create a free Hip Hop dance party on the patio at The Glen Golf Park.

- Disability Summit: A Community-Led Movement for Disability Justice - Thursday, July 27, 2023 - Saturday, July 29, 2023: This event is a platform for visioning and developing a city-wide agenda that will direct the work of the Disability Rights and Services Program and ensure all City programs include the voices and needs of the disability community. - Community Implementation of the Standard Response Protocol & Standard Reunification Method - Wednesday, August 2, 2023: The Dane County Sheriff's Office will be partnering with Dane County Emergency Management and the Office of School Safety (OSS) for a 2-hour training on Standard Response Protocol (SRP) & Standard Reunification Method (SRM) Incident preparedness overview for Public Private Partners. OSS will present a comprehensive school safety model and introduce SRP & SRM to community members. The training will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Blackhawk Church, 9620 Brader Way, Middleton, WI.

- Help Guide Growth and Change in Madison: The City of Madison is currently working on an Interim Update of its 2018 Imagine Madison Comprehensive Plan, which is a long-term vision for the future of Madison to help guide the growth and change Madison is experiencing. The Interim Update is focused on the Generalized Future Land Use (GFLU) map within the Comprehensive Plan. The GFLU map guides how and where Madison grows. The City is updating the GFLU map to reflect land use recommendations from neighborhood, area, and neighborhood development plans adopted between summer 2018 and summer 2023. In addition to these administrative updates, the public has an opportunity to propose amendments to the GFLU map.
- Free Summer Metro Bus Pass Program for MMSD Students: For the third year, the City of Madison is giving every Madison Metropolitan School Districts Middle and High School student a free Metro bus pass for the summer. This summer, Metro has made 7,000 passes available to MMSD students.
