- Common Council: The Common Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in hybrid format at 6:30 PM. Agenda items include allowing Accessory Dwelling Units for properties with up to eight dwelling units and removing the owner-occupancy requirement for ADUs, combining the City-County Homeless Issues Committee, Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee, and Housing Strategy Committees, as well as honoring and celebrating the 50 years of service of JustDane.
- Board of Public Works: The Board of Public Works meeting will take place on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in virtual format at 4:30 PM. Agenda items include authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an agreement with Dane County to allow the City to perform bi-annual bridge inspections of local highway and pedestrian bridges within its jurisdiction, setting the 2024 rates for the Sewer Utility and Stormwater Utility, and the approval of a number of bids opened by the City Engineer.
- Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee: The Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee meeting will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in virtual format at 5:00 PM. Agenda items include a memorandum on proposed landlord-tenant ordinances, as well as combining the City-County Homeless Issues Committee, Landlord and Tenant Issues Committee, and Housing Strategy Committee.

- Empower Your Financial Journey - Wednesday, March 20, 2024: Join Madison Area Community Land Trust (MACLT) for an empowering session that covers both credit-building strategies and effective budgeting techniques presented by Sara Whitley from Johnson Financial Group.
- Assistive Technology in the Workplace - Thursday, March 21, 2024: Hosted by the City of Madison Disability Resource Group, an affinity group of staff with disabilities, and the Department of Civil Rights, this event will include a hybrid meeting with a panel. Following the panel, in-person attendees will have an opportunity to try Assistive Technology devices.
- Westside Community Connections - Thursday, March 21, 2024: Please join us as we host Matthew Mikolajewski and Saran Ouk from the Economic Development Division and Kirsten Donkle of the Department of Civil Rights. They will discuss resources and programs available for businesses in our community. There will be time for a Q&A at the end of the presentations.

- Road Closure -- Pleasant View Rd: Hoffman Construction will close Pleasant View Road, between Quarry Rd and Pleasant View Golf Course, for two days next week:

- Extra Round of Brush Collection Begins March 18, 2024: The Streets Division will begin an extra round of brush collection on Monday, March 18, 2024. If you wish to take advantage of this opportunity, place your brush out for pickup before 6:30 AM on Monday, March 18, 2024. The Streets Division aims to collect it sometime before Friday, March 29, 2025.
- Funding for Madison’s Second Bus Rapid Transit Line Included in Federal Spending Bill: On Monday, March 11, 2024, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announced $118.1 million for the Madison area’s second bus rapid transit line, Metro Rapid Route B, has been included in President Biden’s 2025 Proposed Budget.
- Join Us for Terrace Town 2024: Explore Eco-Friendly Model Cities Designed by Students. Terrace Town brings architecture, design, and city planning curriculum to Dane County elementary classrooms. Over several weeks, 700 students learn how cities are planned, what makes a quality city, and how citizens can participate in improving their community.
- Madison's New Planning Division Director Appointed: Mayor Rhodes-Conway announced Meagan Tuttle's appointment as the City’s Planning Division Director.
- Madison Selected for “Nature Everywhere” Communities Initiative: The City of Madison is proud to announce it is one of nineteen communities in the country selected to join the inaugural Nature Everywhere Communities initiative. The initiative is designed to increase equitable access to nature everywhere children live, learn, and play.
