This Spring, for those voting in Ward 89 will be held at the Rennebohm Park Shelter located at 115 N. Eu Claire Avenue. While not ideal, the city aims to optimize this location to accommodate both voters and election officials. Parks management has agreed to de-winterize the bathrooms two weeks ahead of schedule. Several electric heaters will also be setup to maintain warmth within the shelter. In case of windy conditions, large tarps will serve as wind barriers. Additionally, emergency lighting will illuminate the path when daylight is insufficient. To enhance accessibility, the city will install an accessible voter parking sign just south of the service drive.

Moreover, any voter unable to visit the polling location may utilize curbside voting, with the designated area set up at the service drive turn-in. Curbside voting is available at all polling places across the state. A sign at the location will provide a number for the voter to call if an election official doesn’t already see them. An election official will then come to the voter’s vehicle to check their ID and collect their information. Subsequently, the voter will be checked in at the poll book, and with a second election official, will receive their ballot. Once the voter has completed voting, both election officials will return the ballot to the voting area to be fed into the tabulator. For clarity, I have included a satellite view of the location, with the curbside voting area circled in blue and the accessible parking in green.
