Yahara Hills Neighborhood Development Plan Amendment Virtual Meeting THIS Thursday

posted

The Yahara Hills Neighborhood Development Plan (NDP) was adopted in 2017. The NDP primarily covers existing and/or planned industrial land and some residential. In addition, open space is recommended for various locations within the NDP planning area, especially those associated with natural features such as wetlands, floodplains and drumlins.

City of Madison Planning Division staff are currently in the process of drafting an amendment to the plan that is in response to a proposed new Dane County Landfill, organics management facility and Sustainable Business Park. The proposed amendment will consider changes to the recommended land uses and transportation network (e.g. recommended roads, pedestrian/bicycle facilities) based on the proposed project.

As such, City Planning staff will be hosting a virtual meeting about the proposed amendments Thursday March 17th, beginning at 6pm. This meeting will serve as an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback as staff work towards implementing a final draft.
