Opening Date Set for Imagination Center at Reindahl Park

Great news! I'm happy to share that the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park will open on Friday, September 25 following a ribbon cutting ceremony led by Library, City, and State officials.

The opening weekend is an opportunity for neighbors and residents to tour the building, get a library card, learn about booking meeting spaces, and celebrate this new addition to the northeast side. The Imagination Center Library includes several spaces that community members can reserve free of charge, including a large community room, three study rooms, and a classroom. Kids, families, and individuals can also enjoy spaces like the tech hub, family hub, quiet reading room, and outdoor patios. 

Ribbon Cutting: 

Celebrate the opening day of the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 3-4pm.

Following the ribbon cutting, the Imagination Center Library will open its doors to the public for the first time! 

• 4-8pm: Get your library card, take a self-directed tour of the space, visit the "How-To" corner, check out the new public art (The Passage of Being by Nate Page), and enjoy light refreshments. When you get a library card at the Imagination Center at Reindahl Park from September - December 2026, you'll receive a special Welcome to the Neighborhood booklet, which includes deals and coupons for local businesses! 
• 4-5pm: A Wild Rumpus for kids and families will take place outside (weather location: Parks Pavilion). 
• 5-7pm: A movie in the park (movie TBD) will take place outside (weather location: Parks Pavilion).

No registration is required to attend the events. A more detailed schedule will be released closer to the date.  Once open, the Imagination Center Library's operating hours will be: 

• Mon-Fri, 10am – 8pm
• Saturdays, 9am – 5pm
