Meeting and Event Highlights for the Week of December 8, 2025

posted

District 18 residents.

As we move deeper into December, I hope you're finding moments of rest and connection with the people who matter most to you. The holiday season can be both joyful and overwhelming – a time when many of us are navigating family gatherings, year-end deadlines, and the very real challenge of making our budgets stretch to cover both gifts and groceries. Whatever this season looks like for you, please know that your well-being matters. If you're struggling, you're not alone, and there are resources available. And if you're finding moments of warmth and celebration, I hope you can hold onto those too.

This is also a time when our community shows up for each other. From the volunteers preparing meals at shelters to neighbors checking on those who might be isolated, to the city workers who keep our streets safe and services running through the holidays – thank you. Local government doesn't stop for the season, and neither does the work of building a community where everyone can thrive. The meetings and decisions highlighted below may seem routine, but they shape the infrastructure of care and opportunity that our neighbors depend on year-round.
