  • Spring Yard Waste Collection Set-Out Date Schedule for 2026 Now AvailableThe 2026 set-out date schedule for the Streets Division's springtime yard waste collection is now available on the yard waste website. When do I put out yard waste for pickup?   • District 19 Matters at City Meetings:  
    • At Plan Commission: Bear Development’s proposed project for two buildings, one at 5555 Odana Rd and the other at 5534 Medical Circle is on the Commission’s Monday agenda. The project would contain 227 apartments and 7,745 square feet of commercial space. Item 10 (Legistar 91459) is for approval of a demolition permit for the existing building at 5534 Medical Circle. Item 11 (Legistar 91512) is for approval of a conditional use permit for the proposed 6-story building at 5555 Odana Rd. Item 12 (Legistar 91514) is for approval of a Certified Survey Map which combines the two properties.
    • At Transportation Commission: Item 5 (Legistar 92140) is for the annual review of the five-year Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). The updated TIP recommends including rebuilding the Craig Avenue/Old Middleton underpass and reconstructing Norman Way and Wood Circle in the 2027 budget. It recommends resurfacing multiple streets in Parkwood Hills in 2028 and resurfacing or reconstructing various streets in Spring Harbor and Indian Hills in 2029-2031.

Public Information Meetings (PIMs)

  • Sherman Ave, N. Sherman Ave, and McGuire Street Reconstruction, Monday, March 16: The City is planning reconstruction of Sherman Ave from McGuire St to N. Sherman Ave/Fordem Ave, N. Sherman Ave/Fordem Ave from Northfield Pl to Erie Ct, and McGuire St from Sherman Ave to Fordem Ave in 2026. A public information meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m., March 16, 2026, via Zoom. Registration is required. 
  • Public Input Meeting - Newbery Park, Tuesday, March 17: The City of Madison Parks Division is improving the playground at Newbery Park and we want your input. At this meeting City staff will present revised playground equipment options from input gathered at the playground workshop.
