District 19 2026 Chip Sealing Schedule

Street by Street Schedule

A majority of the residents of District 19 received a postcard this week giving notice that work will soon begin on street chip sealing. I've started to receive emails and calls from District 19 residents inquiring when their particular street will be chip sealed. That's understandable. Summer is a time for planning picnics, family gatherings, and home improvements, all of which could be impacted by temporary street parking limitations.

Madison's Engineering Department shared a tentative street-by-street schedule with me this morning. It shows work beginning next week and being completed by the end of July. Here is the map.

Some Delays and Re-Sequencing Expected

This is a tentative schedule. It can be affected by weather. Engineering also notes that some streets will be delayed so utility patching can be completed prior to the chip seal work. That could mean that there will be deviations from the street sequence in the tentative plan.
