John Nolen Drive Pre-Construction Meeting

posted

John Nolen Drive causeway reconstruction is quickly approaching. Reconstruction of John Nolen Drive between South Broom Street and East Lakeside Street will start next month.

In advance of this significant project, you are invited to attend a public meeting to discuss the construction schedule and anticipated impacts on Monday, September 22 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. You can join the virtual meeting using your computer, smartphone, or tablet, or you can listen in via telephone. You will receive login information after registering at this link.

During the virtual meeting, reconstruction project team representatives will present details of the upcoming work and answer questions from the public. Waukesha-based Zenith Tech Inc. is the project general contractor.

The reconstruction includes roadway, bridge, and shoreline improvements and enhancements to pedestrian and bicycle pathways, including the Capital City Trail. The project timeline includes concluding reconstruction in July 2027, and Madison LakeWay (Lake Monona waterfront) construction anticipated to begin immediately thereafter. Madison LakeWay improvements, led by the Madison Parks Division, are being closely coordinated with the John Nolen Drive reconstruction project.

For additional information on the project, including how you can stay updated, please visit the project website. Materials from the meeting presentation as well as a meeting recording will be posted to the project website.
