Free Homebuyer Education Class (in person)

Take the first step to owning a home and join us in this Home Buyer Education Workshop. This FREE Homebuyer Education workshop takes place in-person at Sunshine Place, 1610 W. Main, Sun Prairie, WI 53590 on Saturday, August 8, 8:30 am – 3:30 pm! Lunch will be provided. Our first-time home buying workshops cover the following: 

how to find the right home 
how to apply for a mortgage 
credit improvement tips 
how much you can afford 
barriers that can prevent you from qualifying for a mortgage 
what down payment assistance may be available to you 
Verify with your Down Payment Assistance/Closing Costs program to make sure that completing this course (class with one-on-one counseling) fulfills their requirements. Certificate of Completion is provided upon completion of class AND one-on-one counseling session with Urban League of Greater Madison. You must attend the entire class to sign up for a counseling session. This course is provided by a HUD Certified Housing Counseling Agency – Urban League of Greater Madison.
