MPD responds to two crashes involving impaired driver

A man was arrested for driving impaired following two crashes.
Someone reported a reckless driver on Stoughton Rd. at E. Washington Ave. around 2:15 p.m. on Saturday.
This vehicle was then involved in a hit-and-run crash around 5 p.m. at the intersection of N. Park St. and University Ave.
Around 5:30 p.m., the driver crashed into a tree in the 5700 block of Old Middleton Rd.
The driver ran from the vehicle and was picked up by another vehicle before being dropped off at a convenience store on University Ave.
Officers arrived and detained the driver. He was showing signs of intoxication and marijuana was found in the vehicle.
The 24-year-old driver was taken to a local hospital and issued a felony order-in for hit-and-run, reckless driving and operating while intoxicated.
