Daily Calls: February 13-16, 2026
The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on February 13 to 6:00am on February 16 we received 1,291 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- East: 230
- Midtown: 240
- North: 195
- South: 162
- West: 183
- Other: 30
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Friday, February 13:
2:19am – Central – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. house crash (W. Dayton St). The driver (23-year-old male) was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense).
6:45am – West – Check Person: A subject was transported to a local hospital by EMS after they took too many pills. Local mental health resources plugged in. Emergency detention sought/approved. Placement pending.
9:25am – East – Trespass: A 43-year-old female subject was trespassing at Motel 6. The subject took numerous room keycards and tried them until she gained access to a room. The subject was arrested for theft of service, trespassing, and resisting.
5:37pm – West – Theft: A man was attempting to leave a store with hundreds of dollars of merchandise. He was arrested for felony theft and outstanding warrants.
6:16pm – North – Death Investigation: A 56-year-old man was outside of his home when he collapsed. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing suspicious was located.
7:54 pm – East – Accident: Officers were dispatched to a crash where several people ran from the vehicle. Several empty alcohol bottles were found inside the vehicle. One person found to be heavily intoxicated nearby and was placed into protective custody and taken to a local hospital.
10:43pm – East – Suspicious Person: Officers were dispatched to a bank for someone pulling on its doors. Officers arrive to find a man running across the road. The man appeared to be impaired by drugs and drug paraphernalia was located in his pocket.
Saturday, February 14:
1:16am – West – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Frisch Rd. A person involved was notified of an outstanding warrant and attempted to fight officers. He also attempted to kick out the window of a squad car as he was taken into custody.
1:26am – Central – Disturbance: Officers were dispatched to a bar on University Ave. for two people inside causing a disturbance. One man called staff several derogatory words. He was found urinating on the side of a building when officers arrived. The man was taken to the jail for disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer, resisting arrest and public urination.
2:42am – Central – Disturbance: As officers were responding to a different incident, they observed two people fighting in the middle of Regent Street. One suspect ran toward a parking garage and jumped from a low ledge. The suspect is taken to the hospital for his injuries.
8:11am – North – Check Person: Man threw a chair at a staff member and created a disturbance in a common area of a building. Mental health professionals were consulted.
11:12am – Midtown – Check Property: Staff at a store on Hilldale Way reported a large group of protestors blocking the registers.
11:20am – Central – Check Property: A fraternity hosted an event and officers monitor the crowd. No issues reported.
12:34pm – North – Stolen Auto: Woman reported her vehicle was stolen. Vehicle was listed in appropriate databases.
2:41pm – North – Trespass: Staff at a store on Lien Road called to report a banned customer was inside the store.
2:57pm – North – Assist EMS: Officers responded to a medical emergency.
9:29pm – North – Death Investigation: Officers respond to an unresponsive woman. Nothing suspicious located at the scene.
11:54pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers respond to an active disturbance. Officers here a woman screaming and enter the apartment. It is found unoccupied but with signs a disturbance occurred.
Sunday, February 15:
2:37am – East – Disturbance: Altercation breaks out at a birthday party on Cross Hill Dr. Two people leave together but are stopped by responding officers. Two men arrested or battery. An adult woman cited for disorderly conduct.
3:01am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Man got upset with officers for not providing him with a second set of stickers. Man slapped an officers hand during this incident.
5:30am – South– Domestic Disturbance: Woman locked an apartment door due to a man's intoxication level and drinking habits. Man forced his way into the unit.
6:58am – East – Drug Investigation: Person arrested for possession with intent to distribute heroin.
7:28am – East – Missing Adult: Man left a group home on S. Thompson Dr. Mental health proessionals consulted. He was located and returned to the facility with a safety plan.
1:26pm – East– Assist EMS: A man was in his backyard on Belmont Road cleaning a firearm when it discharged. The man was struck by the bullet and taken to the hospital.
2:24pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers respond to a 911 disconnect on Calypso Road and hear a disturbance inside. Man was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
4:01pm – South – Check Property: Man taken into custody for disorderly conduct and hit-and-run.
4:11pm – Midtown – Death Investigation: A man collapsed and was pronounced dead at the scene. Nothing suspicious located.
5:41pm – Central – Suspicious Person: Officers dispatched to a suspicious person complaint on W. Johnson Street. The person was throwing items at passing cars and people from his balcony. The man fought with the three responding officers. Two officers and a sergeant were treated or injuries at a local hospital. Incident Report completed.
9:29pm – Midtown – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to reports of an armed home invasion. Investigation ongoing.
9:30pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers were dispatched to a disturbance. While on scene, a woman pushes past a officer to throw a cup of water in a man's face.
11:33pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers were along the 700 block of State Street when a bicyclist tried to go between two squad cars. The bike causes a black mark along the side of the vehicle. The rider then picked up the bicycle and threw it at officers and threatened them.
Monday, February 16:
2:31am – North – Death Investigation: A man was located deceased at a hotel on W. Terrace Dr. Nothing suspicious located.
