The Madison Police Department is investigating after a woman was stabbed and physically assaulted Friday morning.
Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. Washington Ave. around 9 a.m.
The victim was stabbed and physically attacked outside of her apartment building. She was taken to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
The male suspect is known to the victim and this is believed to be a targeted incident.
The Madison Police Department and outside agencies are actively seeking the suspect.
No arrests have been made at this time.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
