Incident Details

Two vehicles were involved in a crash after a driver slowed down to avoid hitting a pedestrian Tuesday night.

Officers were initially sent to the 3500 block of E. Washington Ave. to check on a person passed out in a convenience store entryway around 10:15 p.m.

That person darted out of the building and into traffic on E. Washington Ave.

Two vehicles crashed as a driver avoided hitting the man.

One of the vehicles rolled over during this incident. A passenger in this vehicle was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The pedestrian left from the area after causing the crash.

Part of inbound E. Washington Ave. was closed as officers investigated this incident.

The investigation continues.
