Dogs in Parks
Leashed, licensed and well-behaved dogs are welcome in all general Madison parks with a dog permit.
Madison Parks has nearly 300 parks, most of which allow leashed, licensed dogs. Due to the length of the list, it's more efficient to specify where dogs are prohibited.
Dogs are not allowed in any conservation park, and in or near park shelters, as well as these prohibited areas. We also offer 9 fenced, off-leash dog park areas.
Dog Permit
All dogs must be licensed and have a daily or annual dog permit.
