The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on March 24 to 6:00am on March 25, we received 480 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- Other: 13
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Tuesday, March 24:
Priority calls only from 10:59am to 11:27am due to calls for service.
- 5:21am – South – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Emergency detention sought/approved. The subject was transported to Winnebago.
- 7:45am – Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a 911 disconnect. A disturbance was found to have taken place involving a 28-year-old male subject. The subject head-butted his mother, grabbed her, shook her, and bit her on the arm. The subject fled but was located hiding in some bushes. The subject is on probation/parole. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and a probation/parole hold.
- 8:44am – South – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention. Placement pending.
- 12:07pm – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (63-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 4:08pm – South – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 19-year-old female subject. The subject became upset about not being able to use a vape device. The subject slapped her boyfriend in the face. The subject caused damage to the property by kicking a door. The subject broke a window to a vehicle. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (3 counts), criminal damage to property (2 counts), and simple battery.
- 9:09pm – East – Retail Theft: Officer responded to a retail theft in progress at Kohl's involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject left the area prior to the arrival of officers. Officers checked the areas and located the subject, along with a second subject (59-year-old male) in the parking lot at Marshalls. The 30-year-old subject was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts), retail theft, and possession of burglarious tools. The other subject was arrested for retail theft (party to a crime).
- 11:35pm – East – Check Area: Officers responded to the 700 block of Bewick St for reports of shots fired. Officers located shattered tinted glass from a vehicle in the roadway. Surveillance video captured two vehicles in the area at the time of the reported shots fired. No other damage located/reported at this time. No reports of injuries. A 22-year-old male subject was identified as being involved and contacted via phone. The subject admitted to shooting at a vehicle. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
Wednesday, March 25:
- 2:42am – Central – Fight Call: An officer observed several subjects on the sidewalk actively fighting (300 block of W. Gorham St). A 23-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and obstruction. A 24-year-old female subject was arrested for simple battery and disorderly conduct.
