Driver killed, 3 passengers injured during crash

The Madison Police Department is investigating a fatal crash that occurred Tuesday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of S. Midvale Blvd. around 12:30 a.m.

Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle speeding before it crashed into a tree.

Multiple people were surrounding the vehicle when officers arrived and shared they helped pull three people from the vehicle.

The three passengers were taken to the hospital for their injuries.

The driver, a 19-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
