Number of calls
From 6:00am on April 22 to 6:00am on April 23, we received 442 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- Other: 11
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Wednesday, April 22:
- 7:46am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Social Justice Center for a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject was engaged in an argument with another subject over a cigarette and lighter. The subject threw a brick on the ground cursing at the victim. The subject picked up a second brick and threw it at the victim's tent causing damage. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed and criminal damage to property.
- 9:52am – North – Runaway Juvenile: A 16-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. The juvenile is a frequent runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
- 10:29am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a senior living facility for a deceased subject (94-year-old female). Nothing suspicious identified.
- 11am – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (69-year-old male). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 11:14am – Central – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (58-year-old female). Possible drug-overdose/suicide. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
- 12:08pm – West – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a subject. The subject was contacted, placed into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital. Subject has an active Chapter 51 return. Transport to Winnebago completed.
- 12:53pm – East – Battery: Officers responded to a report of a battery that occurred earlier in the week involving a patient of the facility. The subject was under a Chapter 51 return. Transport to Winnebago completed. Probable cause developed to charge the subject with battery.
- 3:03pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the library (W. Mifflin) for a disturbance involving a 37-year-old female subject. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for battery to law enforcement (2 counts), disorderly conduct, resisting, criminal damage to property, misdemeanor bail jumping (3 counts), and felony bail jumping (3 counts).
- 3:25pm – Central – Recovered Stolen Auto: Officers responded to a tow request of a vehicle that was blocking access to a garage. The vehicle was found to have been reported stolen. Several subjects were in the area when officers arrived and they all took off on foot. A 21-year-old male subject was apprehended. He was arrested for resisting. The vehicle was returned to its owner. No connection located between the subject and the stolen vehicle.
- 3:26pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to W. Main Street after a caller reported a 61-year-old female subject pointed a handgun at them and several other subjects. Phone contact attempted with the subject (without success). Contact attempted with the subject at her residence. Subject was home and refused to cooperate with officers. Decision made to disengage. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.
- 8:46pm – Midtown – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject in need of an emergency detention (sought/supported). Transport to Winnebago pending.
Thursday, April 23:
Priority calls only from 1am-1:39am due to calls for service.
Priority calls only from 2:23am to 3:21am due to calls for service.
- 12:27am – South – Check Person: Officers responded to a report of a subject walking on the Beltline (EB Beltline/John Nolen Drive). Officers arrived and observed the subject laying on the road. The subject also tried to intentionally run into traffic. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. An emergency detention was sought/supported. Placement pending.
