The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Tuesday morning).
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00am on May 22 to 6:00am on May 26 we received 1,628 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Friday, May 22:
Priority calls only from 7:19am to 8:45am due to calls for service.
- 6:07am – Central – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (59-year-old male). MFD/EMS also responded. The subject was determined to be deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns in addition to being a heavy drinker. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 1:05pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a 31-year-old male subject yelling at another subject. The subject was contacted. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject resisted officers as they took him into custody. The subject was arrested on the warrant, a probation hold, and resisting.
- 1:14pm – East – Theft: Personal property was stolen from locked lockers at a local gym by an unknown suspect(s). Investigation continuing.
- 2:24pm – South – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers were requested to locate a subject with a Chapter 51 return. The subject was located and transported to a local hospital.
- 5:44pm – North – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated subject (61-year-old male) on a public bus that was harassing other riders and urinating on the bus. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, resisting, and depositing human waste.
- 6:57pm – North – Check Person: Officers were requested by the CARES team to assist with a subject who was under the influence of LSD. The subject had gone for a swim in a lake and was covered in grass clippings. The subject was incoherent. Officers tried to dialogue with the subject. The subject took off running. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. Final outcome pending.
- 8:46pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a convenience store for a 16-year-old female subject trying to conceal and steal alcohol. Staff confronted the subject. The subject reacted by destroying the store. The subject resisted officers and attempted to batter an officer. The subject was provided with a restorative justice referral for retail theft, disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, resisting, and attempted battery to law enforcement.
- 10:33pm – Midtown – Juvenile Arrest: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance over a package of ramen noodles involving a 14-year-old female subject. The subject picked up a piece of glass and threatened her mother with it. The subject swiped the glass at her mother. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed.
- 10:41pm – South – Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 29-year-old male subject. The subject was asked to leave the premises and they refused. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, misdemeanor bail jumping, and felony bail jumping.
- 11:14pm – Central – Intoxicated Driver: A 28-year-old male subject/driver attempted to drive on State Street. Officers contacted the subject and found him to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Saturday, May 23:
Priority calls only from 8pm to 8:42pm due to calls for service.
- 12:33am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A victim approached officers on State Street to inform them that an unknown male subject (29-year-old male) had slapped their butt. A description of the subject was provided. The victim observed the subject and pointed him out to officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and 2nd degree sexual assault.
- 2:55am – East – Intoxicated Driver: A 58-year-old male subject/driver was observed by an officer of driving on the median. A traffic stop was conducted. The subject was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (8th offense).
- 8:46am – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 30-year-old male subject. The subject threatened the victim. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject. Attempts were made to contact the subject (without success). Subject remains at-large. *Subject contacted and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and bail jumping.
- 10:03am – West – Domestic Disturbance: Victim reported their husband (38-year-old male) had threatened them and they were scared. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 2:04pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A wanted subject (60-year-old male) was located and arrested. The subject was transported to jail.
- 3:14pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 37-year-old male subject was observed on State Street (where they are banned from). The subject was arrested for bail jumping (2 counts).
- 4:48pm – South – Adult Arrested Person: A wanted subject (23-year-old male) was observed by officers at Penn Park. The subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Prior to detaining the subject, officers observed the subject hand something to a 21-year-old female subject. The subject was contacted and found to be in possession of a handgun (while drinking). The subject was arrested for aiding a felon and carrying a concealed weapon.
- 6:11pm – South – Check Person: Officers responded to a report of a subject running on the beltline. Officers attempted to stop the subject (16-year-old male). The subject ran across the beltline, almost getting struck by multiple vehicles. The subject was eventually stopped/detained. The subject resisted officers and spit at officers. The subject was transported to the jail where they were identified. The juvenile was conveyed to the Juvenile Reception Center. Parents of the juvenile were contacted. The juvenile had run away from home. Local mental health resources consulted. Emergency detention not supported.
- 9:38pm – East – Trespass: Officers responded to the men's shelter for a 36-year-old male subject refusing to leave the premises when staff asked him to. The subject was arrested and transported to jail to post on a trespassing citation.
- 9:47pm – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance. A subject was initially arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and then evaluated for an emergency detention. Emergency detention supported. Officers transported the subject to Winnebago.
Sunday, May 24:

- 5:37am – North – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen overnight from a residence. Attempt to locate aired. The vehicle was listed as stolen in the appropriate databases.
- 8:59am – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 57-year-old male subject. The subject threatened to throw a cat off the balcony. The subject was intoxicated, punched walls, and yelled at the victim. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 9:07am – East – Check Person: Officers responded to check the welfare of a subject who reported to be suicidal. The subject was contacted, placed into protective custody, and transported to a local hospital. Subject voluntarily seeking services. Subject left in the care of medical staff. Officers disengaged.
- 7:42pm – West – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to an adult group home for a disturbance involving a resident acting violent and damaging property. The subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for an emergency detention evaluation. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention supported. The subject was conveyed to Winnebago.
- 9:09pm – Midtown – Stalking Complaint: A 25-year-old male subject showed up unannounced/uninvited to the victim's home after text messages were sent to the victim and not answered. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and issued a stalking letter.
- 10:17pm – North – Adult Arrested Person: DOC requested MPD locate/arrest their client (49-year-old male). The subject was contacted and arrested on a probation hold.
Monday, May 25:
Priority calls only from 7:21pm to 11:23pm due to calls for service.
- 1:47am – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject went to the victim's home and demanded that they come outside. The victim refused to go outside so the subject started throwing rocks at the door and kicking the door. The subject was contacted and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and a probation hold.
- 7:57am – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 43-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and battery.
- 9:31am – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 26-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 10:54am – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (91-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 2:43pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Beacon for an active fight between two subjects. A 42-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and cited for possession of open intoxicants. A 66-year-old male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and a probation/parole hold.
- 4:18pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the area of N. Hancock St at E. Mifflin St for an active fight. Two subjects were contacted and arrested. A 34-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct. A 37-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and felony bail jumping (2 counts).
- 4:52pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: CARES responded to the Beacon and was in contact with a 29-year-old male subject whose behavior was escalating. MPD was requested. The subject removed all of their clothing and began rubbing their private area. The subject was arrested for resisting, lewd/lascivious behavior, and a probation hold.
- 8:18pm – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: DOC requested MPD locate/arrest a 32-year-old male client of theirs. The subject was located and arrested.
- 9:51pm – South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 36-year-old male subject. The subject left the residence intoxicated and threatened to kill himself. The subject was located by officers. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject was taken into custody. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and resisting.
- 11:35pm – South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance. A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. An emergency detention was sought/approved. The subject was transported to a Winnebago.
Tuesday, May 26:
- 2:14am – Central – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a report of a 32-year-old male subject attempting to steal a moped. The subject was contacted and his story about who owned the moped kept changing. The subject was found to be under the influence. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (3rd offense). The subject threatened officers. The subject was also charged with threats toward law enforcement.
- 3:11am – Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 52-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct (2 counts).
