SWAT serves search warrant at west side apartment building

The Madison Police Department's Special Weapons and Tactics team executed a search warrant at an apartment along the 9500 block of Watts Rd. on Thursday afternoon.

Those living nearby may have heard a loud boom and noticed a large police presence as a result of this warrant.

One person was taken into custody. No injuries were reported. 

MPD officers went door-to-door to explain what was happening to those living in the area.

The high-risk search warrant was served on behalf of the Beaver Dam Police Department.
