The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on June 5 to 6:00am on June 8 we received 1,411 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Friday, June 5:
Priority calls only from 4:36pm to 5:39pm due to calls for service.
- 6:51am – Midtown – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a deceased subject (59-year-old male). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 11:40am – Central – Theft: Caller reported observing the subject (41-year-old male) who stole their cell phone. Contact made with the subject. The subject denied taking the phone. The subject had an outstanding warrant for their arrest. The subject was arrested and conveyed to jail.
- 3:02pm – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a business on East Towne Blvd for a 66-year-old female subject hitting the drive-thru with a baseball bat. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. The subject was located nearby and detained. The bat was recovered. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, possession of drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct (hate crime enhancer).
- 3:14pm – Midtown – Crash: Officers responded to a rollover crash at University Ave/N. Whitney Way. Two vehicles involved. One of the driver's reportedly suffered a medical event just prior to the crash. The other driver involved was not injured. Investigation continuing.
- 3:48pm – Central – Crash: Officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash (W. Dayton St/Frances St). The pedestrian was struck in the crosswalk by the driver/vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver was cited for failure to yield to a pedestrian.
- 8:24pm – East – Retail Theft: Officers responded to a business on Lien Rd for a retail theft involving a 48-year-old male subject. The subject was contacted and arrested for misdemeanor retail theft and bail jumping.
- 10:25pm – East – Mental Health Conveyance: Caller (32-year-old female) called for the 2nd day in a row to report the same situation (constantly stalked and sexually assaulted by a group of individuals). Concerns were raised for the mental wellbeing of the subject. The subject was contacted and transported to a local hospital after making vague homicidal/suicidal comments. When the subject was placed into protective custody she became resistive towards officers. Emergency detention sought and not approved. The subject was arrested for resisting.
- 11:49pm – Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance. The first officer on scene observes the disturbance and tries to break it up. One of the involved subjects (42-year-old male) put their hands around the officer's neck. Two subjects were ultimately arrested from this incident. The male subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, obstructing an officer, resisting, and attempted strangulation. A 30-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct while armed, obstructing an officer, resisting, domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property, and battery.
Saturday, June 6:

- 1:58pm – North – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a business on N. Sherman Ave for a banned subject (63-year-old male) possibly concealing merchandise. The subject was contacted and found to have an outstanding warrant. No new charges from today's incident. The subject was transported to jail.
- 1:58pm – South – Battery: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 52-year-old female subject. An altercation takes place between the subject and a victim over a male subject. The subject struck the victim in the head. The subject left the area before officers arrived. The subject was located and arrested for disorderly conduct and simple battery.
- 2:26pm – Central – Traffic Stop: A 49-year-old male driver was stopped by going 50-mph in a 25-mph zone where a recent fatality crash occurred (E. Washington Ave/N. Blair St). The driver was cited for speeding.
- 3:19pm – North – Intoxicated Driver: An officer observed a crash (Packers Ave/Schlimgen Ave). A 55-year-old male driver was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense) and cited for failure to yield. No injuries reported.
- 3:36pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a 46-year-old male subject breaking a vehicle's windshield. The subject was contacted. Probable cause was developed to arrest the subject. The subject was charged with domestic criminal damage to property and felony bail jumping (3 counts).
- 4:28pm – East – Stolen Auto: A 42-year-old female subject stole a vehicle. The subject was contacted and the vehicle was recovered. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without consent and bail jumping (2 counts).
- 5:40pm – Central – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal subject. The subject was contacted and taken into protective custody. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Final outcome pending.
- 6:42pm – South – Missing Adult: A 44-year-old male subject was reported as missing from their group home. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed as missing in the appropriate databases.
- 10:34pm – North – Disorderly Conduct: Officers responded to a report of a 41-year-old male subject urinating over a balcony and exposing himself. The subject was contacted and detained. The subject smashed his head against the squad window (broke the window). The subject was transported to a local hospital. Medical clearance obtained and the subject was arrested/transported to jail for disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
- 11:12pm – East – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 17-year-old male subject and his two siblings (minors). The subject admitted to striking his sibling in the face several times. The subject took the phone away from another sibling who was trying to call for help. The subject was arrested for intimidation of a victim, disorderly conduct, and physical abuse of a child (2 counts).
Sunday, June 7:

- 1:08am – East – Armed Robbery: Officers responded to a report of a victim being attacked and robbed by a 64-year-old male subject. It was reported that the subject bit the victim's nose, pulled out a knife and robbed the victim of their purse before strangling them and taking off on foot. A second victim was also identified as being threatened by the subject with the knife. The subject was contacted and detained. The knife was recovered. The purse was recovered and given back to the victim. The subject was arrested for attempted mayhem, armed robbery, strangulation, disorderly conduct while armed (2 counts), and felony bail jumping (3 counts).
- 4:51am – Central – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (40-year-old male). Lifesaving measures performed but were not successful. Evidence of drug-use on scene. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 9:09am – East – Child Neglect: A business called in a 27-year-old female subject who was stumbling around their parking lot with an infant. The subject was contacted and found to be under the influence. A family member took custody of the infant. CPS consulted. The subject was transported to a local hospital and provided with an order-in for child neglect.
- 10:19am – East – Juvenile Arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 15-year-old female subject. The subject resisted officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
- 12:19pm – West – Stalking Complaint: Officers investigated a stalking complaint involving a 52-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for stalking and disorderly conduct.
- 12:21pm – East – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to the men's shelter for a report of a victim who had been stabbed by a 56-year-old male subject. The victim was provided with medical aid by officers/EMS and transported to a local hospital in stable condition. The subject was arrested for attempted 1st degree homicide.
- 4:04pm – South – Check Person: Officers responded to reports of a 41-year-old male subject yelling at people/vehicles and standing near the road (Fish Hatchery Rd/Ann St). The subject was contacted and found to be impaired. The subject was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject was arrested for felony bail jumping (2 counts), misdemeanor bail jumping (5 counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 7:20pm – North – Weapons Offense: Officers responded to Independence Lane/Dwight Dr for a subject shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital. A 39-year-old male subject was taken into custody and charged with attempted 1st degree homicide.
Monday, June 8:
- 1:02am – Central – Check Person: Officer flagged down by a subject who was in need of mental health services. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital. Emergency detention sought/approved. Placement pending.
- 3:10am – South – Battery: Officers responded to a report of a victim getting jumped. The subjects involved fled but were all located/detained. An 18-year-old male subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child. A 14-year-old male and a 15-year-old male subject were arrested for party to a crime substantial battery. A firearm was recovered. The victim sustained a visible injury. The victim was not cooperative with officers.
