Man arrested for biting and threatening people with knife

A woman called for help after a man pulled out a knife, bit her on the nose and robbed her.

Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of E. Washington Ave. around 1:10 a.m. Sunday.

While they were speaking to the victim, a passerby approached officers and shared they were just threatened by  a man with a knife.

The suspect was located nearby and taken into custody.

Hershel R. Stanley, 64, was arrested for attempted mayhem, armed robbery, strangulation, disorderly conduct while armed and felony bail jumping.

He was taken to the Dane County Jail without incident.
