  • Citywide Brush Collection Following StormsIf you have tree debris from this week's storms, please stack it on the terrace for collection. [posted June 12, 2026]
  • District 19 Matters at Plan Commission: There are four agenda items on the Plan Commission's June 15 agenda that have a District 19 impact.
    • Item 4 (Legistar 93412) is for approval of an amendment to Tax Increment District 46 centered on University Research Park. It includes financing for enlargement of a sanitary sewer on S Yellowstone and park improvements to support the multiple major housing projects in the neighborhood.
    • Item 8 (Legistar 93420) is to establish Tax Increment District 56 centered on Grand Teton Plaza. It provides financing for public improvements and affordable housing in an area surrounding a recently approved 302-unit apartment project.
    • Item 9 (Legistar 93428) is to establish Tax Increment District 57 centered on Medical Circle. It provides financing for public improvements and affordable housing in an area surrounding a recently approved 227-unit apartment project.
    • Items 17 & 18 (Legistar 92879 and Legistar 93178) is for approval of the final draft of the Southwest Area Plan and amending the Comprehensive Plan to incorporate the provisions of the Southwest Area Plan. The Southwest Area includes the portion of District 19 between the Beltline and Schroeder Rd and between Gammon Rd and Whitney Way.
  • District 19 Matters at Transportation Commission: There is one item on the Transportation Commission's June 17 agenda that has a District 19 impact.
    • Item 2 (Legistar 93596) is for approval of 2026 Safe Streets investments in street safety improvements including curb bumpouts and pedestrian and bike safety improvements around Rosa Rd and Anchorage Ave.

  • Juneteenth HolidayThe City of Madison administrative offices are closed for the Juneteenth holiday, on Friday, June 19. All emergency services will be open; please call 911.
    • Emergency Water Issue: Call Madison Water Utility at 608-266-4665, 24/7.
    • Sanitary Sewer Back-up: Call 608-266-4430. An emergency crew will respond to your call.
    • Report a Problem: Report non-emergencies that can wait until the next City working day.
  • Beach Water QualityWe monitor water quality at beaches from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Check conditions before going in the water.
