Incident Details

One person was injured during a shooting on the city's southwest side Saturday night.

Officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Tucson Trail for multiple reports of a man shot shortly before 9 p.m.

They arrived and immediately began stabilizing the scene while providing medical care to the victim.

The suspect and victim were attending a holiday barbeque when an altercation broke out between them.

Multiple people were present during the shooting. 

The victim, a male in his 40s, was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

The suspect was not at the scene when officers arrived.

Probable cause currently exists to arrest him for attempted homicide.

This is a targeted incident. 

The Violent Crime Unit is leading this active and ongoing investigation.
