Man arrested following battery at Williamson and Baldwin streets

A man was arrested Wednesday evening following a disturbance in the area of Williamson and Baldwin streets.
The man entered the intersection and cursed at the crowd, kicked signs, pushed someone and punched another person.
The Madison Police Department noticed the disturbance on a drone, and protest organizers reached out for assistance.
Organizers detained the man until police arrived and arrested him.
There were no issues when officers arrived.
A 31-year-old man was arrested for substantial battery, battery and disorderly conduct with a hate crime enhancer.
He was taken to the Dane County Jail.
