Incident Details

A man threatened a person with a large kitchen knife during a disturbance over the weekend.

Officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Atticus Way around 6:25 p.m.

As officers were talking to the victim, the man returned to the area with a different sharp weapon. He then ran from police and was found on a hill under the Verona Rd. overpass.

The suspect remained armed and told officers to kill him. Responding officers, who were a distance away, began talking with the man. The man eventually walked down the hill unarmed and was taken into custody.

Cristabol Urquiza-Duran, 44, was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed, resisting with use of a dangerous weapon, three counts of bail jumping.

He was medically cleared and taken to the Dane County Jail.
