Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

From 6:00am on August 28 to 6:00am on August 31 we received 1,290 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

Friday, August 28:
Priority calls only from 7:10am to 9:11am due to calls for service.
Priority calls only from 12:49pm to 8:49pm due to calls for service.
- 2:33am – Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic strangulation, domestic battery, and domestic disorderly conduct.
- 7:11am – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to the men's shelter for a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (34-year-old male). The subject was located deceased. The subject has a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Autopsy pending. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
- 8:17am – East – Non-Residential Burglary: Officers responded to a business for a burglary involving a 48-year-old male subject. The subject took a television from the business. The subject was arrested for burglary.
- 12:42pm – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a domestic disturbance involving a 41-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed.
- 12:56pm – West – Missing Adult: A 79-year-old female subject was reported as missing after leaving their home on foot. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Silver Alert issued. The subject was located safe by community members. The subject was returned home.
- 3:15pm – Central – Strong Armed Robbery: A victim, sitting on a public bench, pulled out their phone from a pocket that had cash with it. A 15-year-old male subject walked by and saw this. The subject grabbed the cash. The victim yelled at the subject. The subject punched the victim several times and fled on foot with the victim's medical walker. The subject was apprehended after a short foot pursuit. The subject was arrested for strong armed robbery, battery, and resisting. The subject was listed as missing/runaway juvenile. The subject was transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
- 8:32pm – Midtown – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a knife. Contact made with two subjects (40-year-old female and 53-year-old male). Both subjects intoxicated. Both subjects reported being physically assaulted by the other. The female subject sustained injuries requiring stitches. The male subject was arrested for substantial battery and disorderly conduct. The female subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety.
- 8:50pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 32-year-old female subject. The subject showed up unannounced to their ex-partner's residence. The subject was banging on the windows. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. The subject was contacted and arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
Saturday, August 29:
Priority calls only from 6:39pm to 7:30am due to calls for service.
- 12am– Midtown – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a report of a driver/vehicle driving recklessly and striking a curb. Officers arrived on scene. The vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The driver (27-year-old male) was on scene. The driver was found to be impaired and arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense) and resisting.
- 2:53am – Central – Check Person: Officers responded to a report of a subject not breathing. The caller refused to allow officers into the apartment complex. Officers breached the main lobby door to gain entry. The subject was contacted and found to be intoxicated. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital.
- 4:59am – Midtown – Check Person: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a possible suicidal juvenile. Contact made with the juvenile and their parents. The juvenile was transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. The juvenile was left in the care of their parents and medical staff. Officers disengaged.
- 6:59am – North – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen from a residential driveway. The vehicle was tracked and located in Fitchburg unoccupied.
- 3:22pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect with screaming heard in the background. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with two subjects, including a 42-year-old female subject. The subject physically assaulted her partner. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 3:29pm – South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a 911 disconnect and discovered a disturbance had taken place involving a 36-year-old female subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 5:12pm – Midtown – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital for an emergency detention conveyance. Subject transported to a mental health facility.
- 8pm – South – Disturbance/Unwanted Subject: Officers responded to a report of a subject causing a disturbance on a bus, harassing the bus driver, and attempting to manipulate the controls of the bus. The subject was contacted and found to be under a Chapter 51 return. The subject was transported to a local hospital. Final outcome pending. Criminal charges forthcoming.
- 10:20pm – East – Disturbance: Officers located a large gathering in the Darbo area. Officers monitored the area as the crowds grew to about 400 people that were blocking roads in the neighborhood. Officers were able to clear the streets. One arrest was made for disorderly conduct reference an intoxicated subject who attempted to start fights.
Sunday, August 30:
Priority calls only from 12:35pm to 11:08pm due to calls for service.
- 2:42am – North – Traffic Arrest: A traffic stop was attempted. The driver (32-year-old male) refused to stop. The vehicle was observed on city cameras as crashed with the driver running from the area. The subject was located/apprehended and arrested for eluding.
- 2:46am – Central – Weapons Offense: Officers hear shots fired in the 400 block of N. Frances St. A 20-year-old male subject was observed running from the area. The subject was ordered to stop. The subject was briefly non-compliant but was detained and ultimately arrested for resisting and a probation/parole hold. Casings located/recovered. A vehicle was found to have been struck by gunfire. No reported injuries at this time.
- 9:06am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (54-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 11:45am – South – Sexual Assault: A victim reported being sexually assaulted several years ago by a known acquaintance. Investigation continuing.
- 1:08pm – North – Disturbance: Officers responded to a business for a 29-year-old male subject causing a disturbance in the parking lot. The subject resisted officers when they made contact with him. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, battery to law enforcement, resisting, and a probation/parole hold. An unrelated subject, 69-year-old male, attempted to insert himself into this situation. He was cited for obstructing.
- 6:16pm – Midtown – Missing Adult: A 38-year-old male subject was reported as missing. Attempt to locate aired. The subject was listed missing in the appropriate databases.
- 6:33pm – West – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 24-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct. The subject attempted to spit in the faces of deputies during the booking process at jail. The subject received an additional charge for discharge of bodily fluids at public safety workers.
- 8:51pm – Central – Death Investigation: Officers received a request to check the welfare of a 43-year-old female subject. Entry made to the residence. The subject was located deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 11:45pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A wanted subject (24-year-old male) was observed on State Street. The subject was arrested for the outstanding warrant, felony bail jumping (2 counts), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Monday, August 31:
Priority calls only from 12:36am to 3:32am due to calls for service.
- 12:08am – Midtown – Weapons Offense: A juvenile showed up a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. The juvenile reported the incident took place at Garner Park. Casings located/recovered at Garner Park. Investigation continuing.
- 12:30am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance in the 400 block of N. Frances St. It was reported that 4 subjects jumped a subject who was in a vehicle in a parking ramp. Victim contacted. A 19-year-old female subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting. Other arrests made – details not known at the time of this writing.
