Number of calls
From 6:00am on September 8 to 6:00am on September 9, we received 458 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 66
- East: 91
- Midtown: 75
- North: 92
- South: 51
- West: 74
- Other: 9
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Tuesday, September 8:
Priority calls only from 10:40am to 12:15pm due to calls for service.
- 8:10am – Midtown – Mental Health Conveyance: Officers responded to a local hospital reference a suicidal subject. Final outcome pending.
- 8:19am – Midtown – Residential Burglary: A handgun was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle in a locked underground parking area. Investigation continuing.
- 12:40pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 57-year-old male subject. The subject and victim have an extensive history of domestic-related calls. The subject was intoxicated, threatened to damage the victim's phone, and caused damage to the residence. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the subject. When officers went to place the subject into handcuffs, he actively resisted their efforts. The subject was arrested for domestic intimidation of a victim, domestic disorderly conduct, resisting, and an active warrant for failure to appear. He was also arrested on probable cause for domestic disorderly conduct from an incident that occurred the week prior.
- 9:25pm – Central – Disturbance: A victim was sitting at a bus station and reported they were sprayed with bear spray by an unknown male subject. There was a delay in this incident being reported. The subject had left the scene before officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, if he is able to be identified/located.
- 10:25pm – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a 59-year-old female subject breaking items on a public sidewalk/street. The subject threw items at a passerby. The subject was contacted under a no trespassing sign. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, trespassing, resisting, and misdemeanor bail jumping.
Wednesday, September 9:
- 12:09am – Central – Fight Call: Officers responded to a fight in the 500 block of State Street between 2 subjects (32-year-old male and 20-year-old male). The same subjects had been involved in a fight inside of an establishment earlier in the evening. The 25-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts) and battery. The other subject was arrested for disorderly conduct (2 counts).
- 12:12am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (33-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Death caused by suicide. Nothing suspicious identified.
