The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on September 18 to 6:00am on September 21 we received 1,306 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

• Other: 31

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Friday, September 18:

Priority calls only from 12:05pm to 2:07pm due to calls for service. 

• 8:32am – Midtown – Crash: Officers responded to a single vehicle rollover crash (Regent St/Park St). No injuries reported. The driver (83-year-old male) was cited for failure to yield. 
• 1:27pm – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (88-year-old male). Nothing suspicious identified. 
• 4:02pm – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a hotel for a report of a deceased hotel guest/subject (71-year-old male). Medical Examiner's office responded. Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Nothing suspicious identified at this time. Autopsy pending.
• 6:33pm – Central – Stolen Auto: A vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was tracked and located. Two subjects (13-year-old male and 14-year-old male) were observed getting out of the vehicle and running. Both subjects apprehended/detained. The subjects were arrested/charged with operating a motor vehicle without consent and transported to the Juvenile Reception Center.
• 6:34pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a clinic for a 31-year-old male subject who was reporting they were suicidal and self-medicating with heroin and meth. The subject had probable cause for their arrest (burglary, theft of movable property, bail jumping). Mental health provider consulted. The subject was arrested on the probable cause and booked into jail.  
• 9:28pm – North – Disturbance: A victim reported being stabbed. The victim was located with a laceration to their forearm (non-life threatening). The victim stated they were attacked unprovoked (subject no longer on scene). Investigation continuing.
• 11pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A wanted subject (54-year-old male) was taken into custody on State Street. The subject was transported to jail.
• 11:13pm – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a 42-year-old male subject down on their porch. The subject was determined to be deceased. Medical Examiner's office responded. Death appears to have been a medical event. Nothing suspicious identified. 

Saturday, September 19:

• 12:35am – East – Intoxicated Driver: Officers responded to a single vehicle crash (E. Washington Ave/Milwaukee St). The driver (45-year-old male) lost control and crashed into a light pole. The driver was found to be impaired. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (4th offense), operating after revocation, and failure to install IID. 
• 5:54am – East – Sexual Assault: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
• 5:57am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 24-year-old male subject was located intoxicated and passed out in a bathroom with a firearm. The subject was arrested for armed while intoxicated.
• 9:05am – Midtown – Sexual Assault: Officers received a report of a sexual assault that occurred overnight. Both parties identified. Investigation continuing.
• 9:15am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (74-year-old female). The decedent had recent health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified. 
• 12:30pm – West – Check Person: A subject left their secure care facility and was not called in as missing for approximately 5 hours. The subject was located/contacted. Officers developed probable cause for obstruction for the caregivers (31-year-old male and 37-year-old female).  
• 10:50pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 35-year-old female subject. The subject threw the victim's cell phone out of the vehicle. The subject ripped a necklace off the victim's neck. The subject was arrested for domestic battery, domestic disorderly conduct, and battery. 

Sunday, September 20:

Priority calls only from 1:53am to 1:39pm to due to calls for service. 

• 1:38am – Central – Disturbance: Officers observed 2 subjects on State Street squared off about to fight. A 22-year-old male subject did not comply with officers' orders. The subject attempted to punch an officer and elbowed an officer in the face. The subject was arrested for resisting, disorderly conduct, and battery to law enforcement.
• 1:45am – North – Homicide: Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 1100 block of N. Sherman Ave. A subject was located down in the parking lot. The subject was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Investigation continuing. 
• 4:48am – West – Strong Armed Robbery: A victim reported that 2 unknown male subjects assaulted them and stolen their vehicle. Vehicle listed as stolen in the appropriate databases. Investigation continuing. 
• 6:45am – East – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a report of a deceased subject (77-year-old male). Decedent had a history of health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified. 
• 3:32pm – Central – Trespassing: A 60-year-old male subject (chronic trespasser) was observed setting up camp on State Street. The subject was arrested on a probation violation. 
• 8:09pm – West – Crash: Officers responded to a motorcycle vs. car crash (WB Beltline). It was reported that CPR was in progress on the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Investigation continuing. 
• 9:44pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 38-year-old male subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.

Monday, September 21:

• 3:50am – North – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a report of a male subject (42-year-old) hitting a subject in the East Washington corridor.  The subject took off running when they saw officers. The subject was apprehended. The subject was arrested for 12 outstanding warrants, resisting, felony bail jumping (7 counts), and misdemeanor bail jumping (2 counts).
