Will the President's Workgroup consider the 2021 Final Report and Model Policy of the Police Body-Worn Camera Feasibility Review Committee?
postedHello,
On October 1st, Isaac, who staffs the President's Workgroup provided the answer below regarding a question I received. The question asked if the President's Workgroup would be considering the 2021 Final Report and Model Policy of the Police Body-Worn Camera Feasibility Review Committee.
Isaac shared the info below on 10/1/2026:
The workgroup is considering the Final Report and Model Policy of the Police Body-Worn Camera Feasibility Review Committee.
- Reviewing the recommendation of this report is part of the workgroup's charge as required by the President's Order. Agenda Item 4 from last night (Legistar File #95005) is titled “Previous Relevant Reports and Studies: Body-Worn Cameras" which includes the Report/Model Policy.
- As a part of this item, Chair Guequierre presented how he hopes to approach analyzing policies to shape recommendations. This can be viewed in last night's meeting at around the 2:08:10 mark in the recording.
- A draft copy of the spreadsheet he is discussing can be found in Legistar (linked here), where you can see the BWC Feasibility Report in column 1.
