Four arrested for flashing fake gun during robbery attempt

Four teenagers were arrested after flashing a realistic-looking facsimile firearm and trying to rob an unhoused individual. 

The attempted armed robbery occurred around 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday along the 300 block of N. Henry Street.

One teen was located outside on Langdon Street. The other three were found barricaded inside a building along the 100 block of Langdon Street.

The fake gun (seen below) was recovered.

Three teens were taken to the Juvenile Reception Center. One teen was taken to the Dane County Jail.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison sent a safety alert to students living in the area of the incident.

This remains an ongoing and active investigation.
