- Public Input Meeting: Midtown Commons Park - Tuesday, July 29, 2025: The community is invited to a virtual public meeting to help guide the future of Midtown Commons Park, located at 1310 Waldorf Blvd. Midtown Commons Park is expanding to include ~8.2 acres of additional park green space. Community members are invited to review existing park uses and provide their thoughts on desired park amenities in the expansion area.

- Finance Committee: The Finance Committee meeting will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include authorizing the issuance of up to $137,910,000 in general obligation promissory notes.
- Plan Commission: The Plan Commission meeting will take place on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. in virtual format. Agenda items include revising the area plan sequence and development-related requests in Districts 6, 12, 13, and 15.

- Lakeside Kids: Mad Science - Fire and Ice - Tuesday, July 29, 2025: Join us for another exciting summer season of Lakeside Kids! – a free, interactive series featuring science, culture, arts, and entertainment. Designed for kids ages 4+, this event provides hands-on fun and learning in an engaging and dynamic setting.
- Sprayground at Rennebohm Park Ribbon Cutting, Tuesday, July 29, 2025: Neighbors and community members are invited to join the Madison Parks Foundation and the Erlanger family in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Jeff Erlanger Sprayground at Rennebohm Park, 115 North Eau Claire Avenue, 53705, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

- MPD Recognizes National Deflection Week: The Madison Police Department is pleased to announce its involvement in National Deflection Week and the efforts being done to help those experiencing substance use disorders in the community.
- City of Madison, UW-Madison Update Neighborhood Indicators Project Data: New data on housing, health, and more in the City of Madison are now available as part of the latest update to the Neighborhood Indicators Project (NIP).
- 20 is Plenty Officially Launches in Madison: The City of Madison is excited to share the updated progress for Phase 2 of the 20 is Plenty program, which began in the winter of 2024 as part of the Vision Zero Initiative. This second phase will expand the speed reduction initiative citywide, with neighborhood sign installations expected to be completed by August 2025.
