Number of calls
From 6:00am on October 9 to 6:00am on October 10, we received 387 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 74
- East: 83
- Midtown: 73
- North: 64
- South: 35
- West: 49
- Other: 9
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Priority calls only from 8:07pm to 1:41am due to calls for service.
Notable calls
- 5:58am - Central - Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where a man and woman were arguing. They provided conflicting statements as to what happened. Officers were unable to substantiate any charges for either party.
- 11:58am - Midtown - Traffic Stop: The 51-year-old male suspect fled a traffic stop. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for flee/elude, battery to LE, resist/obstruct, and OWI 1st. Suspect is at large.
- 12:20pm - East - Mental Health Conveyance: Officers assisted with an emergency detention.
- 6:20pm - West - Check Person: Officers responded to a residence to contact a man who was reportedly suicidal. CARES also responded and worked with the family to have the man voluntarily admitted to a hospital. Journey Mental Health was consulted.
- 7:58pm - East - Homicide: Officers responded to the 4700 block of Dutch Mill Rd where a man was found down. The man succumbed to his injuries. Investigation continuing.
- 10:37pm - West - Sexual Assault: A victim reported that a known suspect sexually assaulted him. Investigation continuing.
- 12:43am - Central - Domestic Disturbance: A victim reported that a 47-year-old male suspect struck her in the face with a handgun. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for domestic disorderly conduct and battery. Suspect is at large.
- 2:54am - North - Strong Arm Robbery: Officers responded to an apartment building where the 30-year-old female suspect kicked the victim and stole cash from him. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect for strong arm robbery and battery. Suspect is at large.
