The Madison Police Department continues to investigate this incident. The Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) is leading the investigation. 
There is no know connection from this incident to a shots fired incident in the 6000 block of Schroeder Rd. on 9/24/2025 (MPD case 25-423426). 

Incident Details

On 9-25-25, at approximately 9:52 pm, Madison Police Officers were dispatched to the 5900 block of Schroeder Rd for reports of a person that was shot. When officers arrived on scene, they located an adult male in the parking lot in the 5900 block of Schroeder Rd with a gunshot wound. The adult male was transported via ambulance to a local area hospital and is in stable condition.  There is no one in custody at this time, and the invesigation is continuing.
