The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on November 5 to 6:00am on November 6, we received 437 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- Other: 8
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Wednesday, November 5:
Priority calls only from 5:34pm to 8:23pm due to calls for service/resources available/staffing available.

- 7:26am - Central – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance between two subjects. Both subjects were intoxicated and an argument started over one subject moving out. A 34-year-old male subject swung at the victim. The victim blocked the punch. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 9:03am - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance between two subjects. A 36-year-old male subject grabbed the victim by the neck and threatened to harm another subject. The subject also caused damage to the property. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject, who remains at-large.
- 9:36am - Midtown – Disturbance: Officers responded to a report of a large disturbance in the parking lot for Memorial High School. Numerous subjects were pepper sprayed (students and staff). Officers were called back to the school at 12:30pm due to another disturbance and a student with head injuries. Investigation continuing.
- 10:53am - North – Assist MFD: Officers responded, along with MFD, to a report of a garbage can on fire at Reindahl Park. Fire extinguished. Fire believed to have been started by a male subject who left the area in a vehicle. Investigation continuing.
- 11:24am - South – Juvenile Arrest: A 16-year-old male subject made threats using his mother’s phone and caused a disturbance at school. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The juvenile was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting.
- 12:51pm - South – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (42-year-old male). Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
- 2:02pm - Central – Sexual Assault: A victim reported incidents of sexual assault by their ex-partner. Investigation continuing.
- 6:30pm - North – Threats Complaint: Officers were alerted to a threats complaint (involving two students/minors). Contact made at primary subject’s residence. The juvenile’s father would not agree to wake up their child to speak with officers. The other subject and their guardian were contacted and consented to a search which did not yield anything concerning. School plugged in. Investigation continuing.
- 7:09pm - Central – Trespass: A 61-year-old male subject was called in for checking car doors. The subject was contacted and arrested for attempted theft and trespassing.
- 10:23pm - North – Crash: Officers responded to a report of a non-injury crash (N. Stoughton Rd/Anderson St). An 18-year-old female driver/subject showed signs of impairment. The subject failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
