The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on November 11 to 6:00am on November 12, we received 424 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 68
- East: 94
- Midtown: 72
- North: 74
- South: 54
- West: 47
- Other: 15
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Tuesday, November 11:
Priority calls only from 6:24pm to 1:25am due to calls for service/resources available/staffing available.
- 9:23am - East – Adult Arrested Person: A 44-year-old female subject caused a disturbance when she was told to leave the premises by staff. The subject left the property as officers were responding. The subject was located/detained and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was transported to jail.
- 10:54am - Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 25-year-old female subject refused to leave the premises when asked by staff. The subject was arrested for trespassing. The subject physically assaulted a deputy at the jail during the booking process.
- 12:49am - Central – Traffic Stop: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (20-year-old female) and passenger were both observed smoking marijuana. A search of the vehicle yielded additional drugs and drug paraphernalia. The driver initially provided false identification to officers. The subject was arrested for possession of schedule II narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, obstruction, and unauthorized use of ID. The driver was also issued several municipal citations.
- 2pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 46-year-old female subject. The subject was attempting to get into a residence. The subject also tried to mace the victim. The subject provided false identification to officers. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct while armed and obstructing.
- 3:03pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: A 19-year-old male subject, wanted, was located and arrested for burglary, disorderly conduct while armed, battery while armed, and felony bail jumping (3 counts).
- 3:47pm - North – Check Area: Officers responded to Vera Court for reports of shots fired. Areas canvassed. No evidence of shots fired located at this time.
- 5:48pm - North – Sexual Assault of a Child: A child texted their mother that they were assaulted by their babysitter/subject (27-year-old male). The subject advised their mother of a situation at the home. The subject’s mother (50-year-old female) showed up at the residence with a gun. The male subject was arrested for 1st degree sexual assault of a child. The female subject was provided an order-in for carrying a concealed weapon.
- 7:02pm - West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a 46-year-old female subject without a pulse. Lifesaving measures were attempted but not successful. The decedent had been having medical/health concerns recently as well as a history of other health/medical concerns. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 9:09am - Central – Intoxicated Driver: An officer made contact with a driver/subject (64-year-old male) due to the vehicle having a suspended plate and the plate not matching the vehicle. An odor of intoxicants was detected from the subject. A data check showed the subject had 5 prior convictions for driving under the influence, including being on probation/parole for one of the convictions. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (6th offense), operating after revocation, and a probation/parole violation and hold.
Wednesday, November 12:
- 12:27am - Central – Sexual Assault: Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a sexual assault. The victim reported being sexually assaulted over the weekend. Investigation continuing.
- 12:49am - South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 45-year-old male subject. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived but returned to the residence a few hours later causing another disturbance. Officers responded again. The subject had made vague suicidal statements and left the residence before officers arrived. The subject’s vehicle was located in a dealership parking lot. Perimeter set up to locate the subject. K9 track completed. The subject was located hiding in bushes. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 1:17am - Central – Intoxicated Driver: A 27-year-old female driver/subject turned onto E. Washington Ave going the wrong way. The officer had to do an evasive maneuver to not get hit by the driver/subject. Traffic stop conducted. The subject was found to be impaired and failed field sobriety tests. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (2nd offense). The subject has a 2nd offense driving while intoxicated case already pending in court so this will likely be her 3rd offense. The subject was also charged with driving the wrong way and operating after revocation. The subject was going to be released to a responsible party but that individual showed up intoxicated themselves. The subject was instead booked into jail.
- 2:38am - East – Adult Arrested Person: MFD responded to a waterflow/sprinkler alarm. Officers were requested when it was determined that the alarm was caused by a gun. A 23-year-old male subject was contacted. He was uncooperative with officers. A handgun and a bag of different pills were located. A wall was struck by a bullet which went through the ceiling striking a water pipe. The subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon, and drug-related charges.
