The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Number of calls
From 6:00am on November 20 to 6:00am on November 21, we received 415 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:
- Central: 74
- East: 101
- Midtown: 69
- North: 62
- South: 44
- West: 46
- Other: 19
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the city. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.
Notable calls
Thursday, November 20:
Priority calls only from 5:17pm to 5:55pm, 8:32pm to 10:03pm, and 11:03pm to 1:23am due to calls for service.
- 5:32am - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence where a 37-year-old male suspect was arrested and charged with domestic strangulation, battery, and disorderly conduct. (This was a late call that did not make the previous 24-hour cycle.)
- 11:43am - South – Runaway Juveniles: A mother reported her three daughters had not returned home after leaving for school in the morning. The girls were listed as missing and an ATL was aired.
- 2:24pm - East – Retail Theft: Officers responded to Target where the 41-year-old female suspect was concealing merchandise. The suspect was arrested and charged with retail theft and multiple counts of bail jumping.
- 4:27pm - Midtown – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence where a 76-year-old woman was found deceased. Nothing suspicious on scene.
- 4:30pm - East – Retail Theft: Staff at Old Navy and Kohl's reported that the 47-year-old male suspect had stolen merchandise from their stores. The suspect was arrested and charged with misdemeanor and felony retail theft and multiple counts of bail jumping.
- 6:28pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: An officer observed the 62-year-old male suspect punch and kick the victim. The suspect was arrested and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.
- 10:32pm - North – Traffic Incident: Officers responded to a parking lot where a driver struck a woman getting into her car. Witnesses reported the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver did not show signs of impairment and is believed to have possibly suffered a medical event that caused her driving behavior. The victim was transported to a hospital.
- 10:57pm - Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to the Sylvee where the 33-year-old male suspect was yelling as people were leaving an event. The suspect grabbed the phone from a woman who was calling 911 and broke it as he tried to run away. The suspect was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, robbery and intimidation of a victim.
- 11:00pm - Central – Liquor Law/Bar Check: Officers conducted a tavern safety check in the 600 block of University Ave and discovered the bar was over capacity. Officers collected 230 invalid ID cards. Officers issued tickets for underage drinking and spoke with the owner of the establishment.
