The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on December 17 to 6:00am on December 18, we received 390 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 38
  • East: 108
  • Midtown: 70
  • North: 70
  • South: 34
  • West: 62
  • Other: 11

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Monday, December 22:

Priority calls only from 3:50pm to 4:26pm due to calls for service.

  • 6:35am - North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance. A 41-year-old male suspect and a 36-year-old female suspect were arrested for domestic battery and domestic disorderly conduct. Two subjects sustained visible injuries. All parties were found to be under the influence of a variety of substances.
  • 7:09am - South – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 49-year-old female suspect. The suspect punched, strangled, and scratched the victim. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery.
  • 8:12am - Central – Theft: Officers responded to a theft of a wallet. Video surveillance was reviewed. The suspect (63-year-old female) was on scene. The suspect was arrested on a probation/parole hold.
  • 12:32pm - Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: Officers located a 26-year-old male suspect, with active probable cause for their arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to jail for engaging in repeated acts of sexual assault of a child.
  • 1:30pm - North – Trespass: Officers responded to a business for a trespassing complaint involving a 53-year-old female suspect. Officers tried to convince the suspect to leave but she refused. The suspect was arrested for trespassing.
  • 3:15pm - East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving a 25-year-old female suspect. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic criminal damage to property.
  • 5:07pm - East – Violation of a Court Order: A 50-year-old male suspect was found to be in violation of a court order (restraining order). The suspect was arrested and transported to jail.
  • 9:27pm - East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a business for a 49-year-old male suspect who refused to leave the premises when the business was closing. Officers tried to convince the suspect to leave but he refused. Officers went to place the suspect under arrest for trespassing and he began to resist. Meth and fentanyl are located on the suspect. The suspect was arrested for resisting, possession of meth, possession of fentanyl, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was cited for trespassing.
  • 9:50pm - Midtown – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 41-year-old male suspect. The victim was thrown on the ground. The suspect pressed his knee on the victim’s neck. The victim was put into a choke hold and thrown outside. The victim ran to a neighbor’s home and called 911. The suspect was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, battery, strangulation, and an outstanding child support warrant.
  • 10:43pm - Central – Adult Arrested Person: A 24-year-old male suspect was in an apartment complex (does not reside here or know anyone that does) and stood in front of a female resident on a couch in the common area. The suspect began to display behaviors that disturbed the resident. The suspect refused to leave when asked by the resident. The suspect passed out in the common area. Officers wake up the suspect who immediately becomes aggressive with them. The suspect was arrested for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting.

Tuesday, December 23:

  • 12:30am - Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a property damage complaint (vehicle keyed). Officers met with the victim and then disengaged. Police were called back for a report of a physical disturbance involving the same parties. A 19-year-old female suspect was arrested for criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. The other subject (19-year-old male) was cited for disorderly conduct for his part in the altercation.
