The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 72 hours (Friday morning to Monday morning).
Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
Number of calls
From 6:00am on January 9 to 6:00am on January 12 we received 1,014 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.
A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

- Other: 24
"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Friday, January 9:
Priority calls only from 2:51pm to 7:37pm due to calls for service.

- 7:49am – South – Violation of a Court Order: A 45-year-old male subject has bail conditions to not be on a specific residential block. Officers were notified that the subject was outside a residence on the block he is banned from. Contact made with the subject. The subject was arrested for misdemeanor bail jumping. He was issued a stalking letter.
- 10:07am – South – Sexual Assault of a Child: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault of a child. Investigation continuing.
- 1:35pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 17-year-old female subject. An argument took place between the subject and her mother. The subject pushed the victim during an argument. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct.
- 6:17pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a hotel for a 69-year-old male subject who had checked into a room the day before, refused to pay for further nights, and would not leave the premises. The subject was arrested for resisting, felony bail jumping (3 counts), and trespassing.
- 9:53pm – East – Traffic Arrest: A vehicle associated with a wanted subject (27-year-old male) was observed. Officers remained in the area and observed numerous subjects heading to the vehicle. Officers approached the vehicle and the driver/vehicle fled. Vehicle pursued. The driver/vehicle struck a curb and the vehicle became disabled. The driver and a passenger were detained. A third subject attempted to flee but was apprehended. The wanted subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, a DOC warrant, reckless driving, eluding (2 counts), hit-and-run occupied vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense), and cited with numerous traffic citations. A 22-year-old male subject was arrested on a DOC warrant. A 29-year-old male subject was arrested on a DOC warrant, possession with intent to deliver cocaine base, possession with intent to deliver heroin, and resisting.
Saturday, January 10:
Priority calls only from 1:54am to 5:05am due to calls for service.
- 12:53am – South – Missing/Runaway Juvenile: A 15-year-old female subject was reported as a runaway. Attempt to locate aired. The juvenile was listed as missing/runaway in the appropriate databases.
- 10am – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for sounds of a disturbance. Contact made with 3 subjects. A physical altercation took place between an 18-year-old male subject and his grandfather. The subject was placed into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. Local mental health resources plugged in. Probable cause developed for domestic-related criminal charges. Final outcome pending. *Emergency detention not supported. The subject was arrested and booked into jail for domestic disorderly conduct and battery to an elder person.
- 1:37pm – South – Disturbance: Officers responded to a business (1800 block of S. Park St) for a disturbance involving a 45-year-old female subject. The subject was yelling and causing other patrons to be uncomfortable. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping.
- 3:32pm – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a business (4700 block of Madison Yards Way) for a 48-year-old male subject stumbling and talking to himself. The subject grabbed alcohol and left without paying for it. The subject was located nearby drinking the alcohol. The subject was arrested for 3 counts of misdemeanor bail jumping. The subject has bail conditions to not drink alcohol.
- 5:07pm – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to the men’s shelter for a disturbance involving a 42-year-old male subject. The subject was causing a disturbance and refused to leave the premises when asked by staff. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping. The subject was cited for trespassing.
- 8:49pm – East – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a domestic disturbance involving a 50-year-old male subject. The victim reported being thrown to the ground by the subject. The subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery, and felony bail jumping.
Sunday, January 11:

- 1:04am – Central – Adult Arrested Person: An officer observed a wanted subject (45-year-old male) on State Street. Officers made contact with the subject. The subject resisted the officers. The subject was arrested for an outstanding warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting, and a probation hold.
- 1:49am – Central – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance that started at an establishment on Williamson Street. Two subjects (30-year-old female and a 29-year-old female subject) approached two known acquaintances in the bar and created a disturbance. The subjects were all kicked out of the bar by staff. The disturbance continued in the parking lot. The two female subjects physically assaulted the victims. The 30-year-old subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and battery. The 29-year-old subject was arrested for 2nd degree reckless endangering safety, fleeing, resisting, and disorderly conduct.
- 2:49am – West – Sexual Assault: Officers responded to a report of a sexual assault. Investigation continuing.
- 6:10am – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (59-year-old male). Decedent had been ill and not sought medical care. Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
- 8:19am – East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving two subjects (33-year-old female and 27-year-old female). Both subjects did not want to speak with officers. Probable cause developed on both subjects. The 33-year-old was arrested for disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping. The 27-year-old subject was cited for disorderly conduct and unlawful trespassing. *The 27-year-old subject caused a separate disturbance (on a bus) and was arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 2:05pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: DOC requested MPD locate/arrest their client (41-year-old male) for violating his terms of supervision. The subject was arrested, after a foot pursuit, for a probation/parole hold and resisting causing soft tissue injury.
- 3:30pm – South – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a wanted subject (32-year-old male). The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, resisting, and an outstanding warrant.
- 4:13pm – East – Traffic Stop: A traffic stop was conducted. The passenger (26-year-old male) attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended. The subject was found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was arrested on the warrant, resisting, and a probation/parole hold.
- 4:58pm – North – Intoxicated Driver: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver (54-yaer-old male) was found to be impaired. The subject was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence (1st offense).
- 7:24pm – South – Mental Health Conveyance: A subject was taken into protective custody and transported to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation. An emergency detention was sought/approved. Placement pending.
- 8:02pm – North – Domestic Disturbance: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance involving numerous subjects. A 57-year-old male subject was arrested for domestic disorderly conduct and domestic battery. A 63-year-old female subject was arrested on an outstanding warrant. A 36-year-old female subject was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
- 9:17pm – Midtown – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to a local hospital for a 25-year-old female subject causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for threats to healthcare worker, battery to law enforcement, resisting, trespass to medical facility, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
