The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on January 13 to 6:00am on January 14, we received 410 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 48
  • East: 102
  • Midtown: 58  
  • North: 92
  • South: 36
  • West: 59
  • Other: 15

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Tuesday, January 13:

  • 7:38am - Midtown – Check Area: Officers responded to a residence for a disturbance with a report of a shot being fired. No injuries or property damage reported. Subject(s) involved not on scene. Investigation continuing.  
  • 11:33am - North – Adult Arrested Person: A 27-year-old female subject turned herself in for a stolen auto (from October, 2025). The subject was processed/booked at the jail. The vehicle had been recovered in Milwaukee in November.  
  • 11:53am - Midtown – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a report of child abuse. Two victims were identified. Both victims had visible injuries. A 28-year-old male subject was arrested for physical abuse to a child (2 counts).
  • 12:44pm - East – Disturbance: Officers responded to a disturbance involving a 14-year-old female subject. The subject got mad at her father because he would not give her cell phone to her. The subject bit her father and broke his glasses. The subject was not on scene when officers arrived. Phone contact made with the subject who refused to tell officers where she was. The subject is listed in the appropriate databases as missing/runaway. Probable cause developed to arrest the subject.  
  • 3:12pm - North – Child Abuse: Officers responded to a report of child abuse. The victim had visible injuries. A 57-year-old male subject was arrested for physical abuse of a child. CPS responded and took custody of 3 children.
  • 5:10pm – Midtown – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (83-year-old male). Medical Examiner’s office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.
  • 11:03pm - East – Traffic Arrest: A traffic stop was conducted. The driver/subject (54-year-old male) was slow to stop. The subject lied about his identity to officers. The subject was properly identified and found to have an outstanding warrant. The subject was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 11:26pm - East – Trespass: Officers responded to a report of a 30-year-old male subject walking around the common entry area of a location on Corporate Drive (no one allowed to be on site at this time). The subject was contacted and arrested for entry onto a construction site or into a locked building/dwelling/room and misdemeanor bail jumping.

Wednesday, January 14:

  • 3:33am - Central – Adult Arrested Person: Contact made with a 59-year-old male subject on W. Gorham St. The subject was found to be wanted. The subject was arrested on multiple warrants.
