Incident Details
A passenger was arrested after grabbing the steering wheel and causing a vehicle to crash into a garage Sunday night.
Officers were in the area and alerted to a possible crash along the 6300 block of Driscoll Dr.
A man said he was driving when a female passenger jerked on the wheel, causing him to leave the road and crash into a garage along the 6200 block of Milwaukee St.
The man told police the woman got out of the vehicle and armed herself with a knife. He left the area and called for help.
A knife was recovered at the scene.
Adele Hunt was arrested for operating under the influence-second offense, second-degree recklessly endangering safety, battery and disorderly conduct while armed.
She was taken to the Dane County Jail.
The man was cited for operating under the influence – first offense and released to a responsible party following a blood draw at a hospital.
