12/12-14/2025: Vilas - partial lagoon; Goodman (Franklin Field), Sunset and Hillington are open! All other ice skating rinks and lagoons are closed. | Reminder: If a rink or lagoon is closed, stay off the ice to prevent damage and avoid delaying opening. | Rentals & Concessions are planned to start Saturday, December 20, weather & conditions permitting.

Know Before You Go

Check the status before heading out. If a rink is listed as closed, do not go on the ice.  

General Rink at Olbrich Park

The general rink offers a light from dusk to 10pm. If the rink is listed as closed, the warming shelter is not open. Hours are approximate and subject to change.
  • Monday - Friday 11:00am - 8:00pm
  • Saturday 12:00 - 8:00pm
  • Sunday 12:00 - 6:00 pm

Loaner Skates

Borrow a pair of ice skates to use while at the rink! Limited quantities and sizes are available inside the warming shelter. Please wipe down and return before leaving the park.
