• Aquatics Supervisor - starting pay $25.85/hour
• Head Attendants - starting pay $21.52/hour
• Head Lifeguards - starting pay $20.52/hour
• Lifeguards - starting pay $18.75/hour
• Attendants - starting pay $18/hour

Training

Paid training and certification courses are offered through the City of Madison Parks Division. You must apply and be hired before attending the training and must be at least 15 years old on or before the last day of class. 

2026 Lifeguard Certification Class Schedule

Candidates must apply and be hired before the start of the class and must be at least 15 years old on or before the last day of class.

• Saturday, April 4 - Monday, April 6
  • 8:00am – 6:00pm daily
• Friday, May 8 – Sunday, May 10
  • 8:00am – 6:00pm daily
• Friday, May 29 – Sunday, May 31
  • Friday, May 29: 5:00 - 9:00pm
  • Saturday, May 30: 8:30am - 6:00pm
  • Sunday, May 31: 8:30am - 6:00pm
