The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last 24 hours.

Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.

Number of calls

From 6:00am on April 13 to 6:00am on April 14, we received 542 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials.

A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows:

  • Central: 69
  • East: 117
  • Midtown: 102  
  • North: 100
  • South: 72
  • West: 69
  • Other: 13

"Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

Notable calls

Monday, April 13:

  • 8:57am – Midtown – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a residence for a deceased subject (suicide). Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified.  
  • 5:08pm – West – Death Investigation: Officers responded to a report of a pulseless non-breathing subject (47-year-old male). Lifesaving measures performed. The subject was pronounced deceased. Evidence of drug use observed. Medical Examiner's office responded. Nothing suspicious identified at this time.
  • 5:37pm – Midtown – Missing Adult: A 74-year-old male subject was reported as missing after not returning home from a walk. Attempt to locate aired. Areas checked. Silver Alert issued. The subject was located safe and returned home.
  • 6:57pm – East – Disturbance: Officers were flagged down about a disturbance involving a 25-year-old male subject. The subject resisted officers, spit on officers, and threatened to kill officers. The subject was arrested for battery to law enforcement, threats to law enforcement, discharge of bodily fluids, disorderly conduct, bail jumping, and resisting.
  • 9:18pm – East – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the shelter on Zeier Rd for a 35-year-old male subject banging on the door demanding to be let in after hours. The subject forced his way into the shelter and threatened staff. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct.
  • 11pm – Central – Adult Arrested Person: Officers responded to the 200 block of State Street for a disturbance involving a 38-year-old female subject. The subject threatened two subjects. The subject was not cooperative with officers. The subject threatened officers. The subject was arrested for disorderly conduct, threats to law enforcement, and resisting.

Tuesday, April 14:

Priority calls only from 12:45am to 2am due to calls for service. 

  • 1:44am – Midtown – Trespass: Officers responded to a local hospital for a subject (42-year-old male) who had been discharged and refused to leave the premises. The subject was arrested for trespass to a medical facility.
